What's my Story?
Hi, my name is Jane Price-Hunt, a BASI certified Pilates Instructor and Health Coach.
I've been practising Pilates for over 15 years now, and teaching for 5. I've always loved sport and transitioned from Netball, Basketball and Gymnastics at school and University, to the Gym, Step Aerobics and running in my 20s. Lifting weights, Bootcamp and skiing took on a new meaning as I entered my 30s, as well as having 2 C-sections to deliver my two gorgeous boys.
All of this intensive sport finally got the better of me and the over-training led to lower back problems and 2 slipped discs in my 40s. Turning to Pilates with some amazing Teachers enabled me to walk without sciatic pain again, but it also made me fall in love with the control, alignment, as well as strength Pilates gave me.
I'm not going to lie, midlife brings niggles and I'm struggling with a frozen shoulder right now, but none of that will stop me from moving and coaching my clients. I'm now in my 50s and Pilates has enabled me to still run, lift weights and ski and I feel stronger than ever.

Now, as a Pilates Instructor in this era of Open Ai, ChatGBT and endless free online content, why workout with me? Well, what I can offer you is:
Accountability
Live classes to pop in your diary, me noticing when you didn't show up and a whole load of support when life gets in the way! You may have subscribed to yet another Shredder or New Year, New Me course, but are you going to even open it, if you don't have someone gently nudging you along the way?
Understanding
Now this is a biggie! I understand what it's like to be in Midlife and in peri-menopause and some days I wonder - Menopause! Our bodies don't respond to exercise or alcohol in the same way anymore and we have to work differently to get the same results.
Not by pounding the treadmill 24/7 - but we don't need to stop the activities we love. Our hormones, joints, bones and muscle mass are shifting and we need to be mindful of this - by working smarter and being more in tune with our bodies. I've got you!
I'm not sure ChatGBT has all those answers.
Consistency over time
And by this I mean, Midlife comes with lots of demands of us. Ageing parents, teenage children, busy work lives, just stuff - that takes a lot of the fun and motivation out of working out. We need consistency, which is why I offer a weekly LIVE class on my courses and memberships.
It's a chance to check in and connect, but when life gets in the way you can catch up with the replays and the recordings. Or access my OnDemand library at a time that suits you. So there's consistency with a little flex.
We are HUMANS after all.
